Well the news for the truck is not good.

Allstate has been real good about explaining my options but at the end of the day, I am out of a running old truck due to a drunk driver.

The repair estimate is from $3.1K to $4.5K. The value of the truck is $2,259.16. So my options are either to take the value or keep the truck minus the salvage value and get $1,569.37, which means I would be out of pocket for repairs of approximately $2.5K.

And that is the part that irks me.

I had a perfectly good old truck. It was not beautiful, but it was functional.

Then a drunk hits it.

So now I have no truck and the payout will not cover anything close to what I had.

And I have no recourse.

Damn.
