One year ago a great friend of mine died and I still can not believe it, nor get over it.

Every time I see something funny, I think of him. Every time I have a software tech question, I think of him first. Every time I got to hash, I think about calling him to see if he is coming. Every time I drink a Pabst Blue Ribbon, I think of him. And last week I bought a moon pie in his honor. (yummy)

I know that Bill would think I am a complete idiot about this whole thing. And I am!

Bill “Possum Pussy” Bercik died on May 2, 2007, much to the shock of so many people. How can some one only 43 and so full of life be dead? At the time, I could hardly grasp the implications of his passing, but over the past year I have thought of so many funny things that happened with him around. So I plan not on weeping but on celebrating over the next few days — and maybe even getting me some of them boneless chicken he was always raving about….

Here is a link to the infamous ON ON Cast which featured the “ON ON Cast - Best of Possum Pussy” that was put together in November 2005. IMHO Possum’s best line was about only week minded individuals get poison oak. Would love to hear what your remember of him. (For those who have never heard the ON ON Cast, well it was just a little Half Mind podcast that ran for a year.)

I hope his birds Gus and Greta are doing well, as his family.
