Most of my friends consider me to be brain dead, so when last week started, none of them saw a change in me or my activities. Yet I saw a big difference. I had no brain power. None. Nada. Zip.
I realized early on Monday that I was in trouble as I sat and stared at this computer screen. I tried all of my usual tricks to get myself motivated, but nothing sparked. I just sat there.
I tried to read other people blogs which usually sparks some brain activity. I tried looking at other people builds in Second Life, but found time there just not doing it for me. I tried weeding through my emails, but lost interest quickly. I even clicked on the office boob tube to see if anything got me going.
Nothing.
So Monday went by into Tuesday, then into Wednesday. Finally on Wednesday afternoon, I declared that I was on mental break and went for a long bike ride. It was a nice ride along the Santa Cruz coast and I ended up 6 miles south in Capitola. Then I biked back. Nice and physical.
Thursday was a little different in that I was not as brain dead but still I had no energy. I did manage to complete a couple of small nagging problems such as getting Meta Magic Studio web site up which still needs a lot of work. I also worked on an old idea that friends had about starting a social site for for employees and friends of Players Pub and Pizza which is up and going using the Ning platform.
Friday morning was spent reading and by Friday afternoon I could feel my brain activity starting to come back. So hopefully next week will be better…. if it isn’t, I will not be a happy person.

While you better not count me among your (very) few friends, I reluctantly admit I do not consider you brain dead….I firmly believe you are brainLESS…
