A few months back, Crap Mariner started putting rivets on some of his textures for his wonderful clock tower on Edloe. I loved that type of texture detail. While most people will never notice such detail, for me it is what I look for in builds. Nothing extravagant or overwhelming, just little subtle details.
In my current build for customer of Meta Magic Studio, I decided that one of my buildings needed rivets. Yeah, I got the idea from Crap. And I hope it makes him happy to see it.
I have put the proto-type for the build on Los Arboles. The entrance is not as developed as it is for the customer build – that is where the most rivet work will be. And the bath house is not the build, just a Los Arboles tweak.

It does. Very much.
It’s those little details that add character and a bit of realism to otherwise surreal builds.
It’s the difference between Tinkertoys/Legos structures and the Lionel Train model houses around the tracks.
Way cool.
