Los Arboles Update – Feb ’09

The rebuild of Los Arboles is 99% complete which means everything is in place.  Now I am just doing some texture work and adding little items here and there.  Hopefully the work will bring smiles to many.  Here are a few pictures of what has been done.

First is new the Five Islands boat stop at the north side of Los Arboles.  The Five Island boat system has been developed by the one and only Crap Mariner.  The entrance is next to Lost in Bananaverse’s SL office.  The ramp goes directly towards Meta Magic Studio entrance.

I revamped the entrance to Meta Magic Studio to include escalators and lots of movement from particle bubbles and birds. The concept of bubbles have always been magical to me.  You can see some of the new ad work for MMS that was developed by Cheerie Beery.  Once in the building, the main floor has photos of some of our work and a conversation area.  Downstairs is 30 seat theater / presentation room.

The Night Owl and CosaNostra Pizza locations are mostly complete with more detailed work coming over the next few months.  While each establishment has a special meaning to me, I tend to spend more of my social time inside of the Night Owl.  I should note that the dance floor was given to me from scripter-genius Dedric Mauriac. Remember to check out the bathrooms downstairs.

I am not going to go into detail to all of the work but I am confident that people who “know” SL will immediately appreciate this little interactive place but there are a couple of places that are of a historical nature.  I have added a Los Arboles basement where old signage and items from the first two years are stored.

There is also a rebuilt sewer system where we have tripled the amount of pipes to explore under Los Arboles.  The main sewer room needs more work, but I think people will like wandering around down there.  The good news is that I can not add the “smell” that would just make the sewers perfect.  lol

There is also an art gallery where some of the better art works from artistist in Second Life that I have collected are on display.  I still need to do some work here, but at least some of the cool items are now being displayed.

That is about all for now.  Please stop by and explore any time.
