I posted the third show of Dive Bar Radio yesterday. This episode was more of a “sound tour” in that all I did was record religion from last Thursday’s Surf City H3 religion. I edited about 10 minutes out just to keep the show down to 20 minutes. Overall I am pretty happy with the sound quality. You never know what you are going to get when recording outside of a studio. I am happy to report that in less than 24 hours, the show was downloaded 32 times. Pretty good start since I really have not started promoting the show.
So far I am really happy with my field recorder which is an Olympus DS-30. Despite being lightweight and compact, it is rugged and picks up sound in stereo real nice. So far the battery life looks real good.
I am still working on setting up the website. I am not happy at all with the web options on libsyn but I do think they do provide a nice hosting price. Then again, I am never happy unless I can tweak everything.

Also, Dive Bar Radio has a listening kiosk now in Second Life. Of course it has been placed on Los Arboles next to my homage to the old Night Owl – one of my favorite old watering holes. I am using on of Dedric Mauriac’s Feed Displays so people can click through the different shows. Next I need to make some T-shirts and do some signage.
I also have been planning out the shows and I am looking forward to what others want to include.
