We are getting closer to completion of the house remodel phase 1.  As I write this on day 73, the second coat of paint is being applied and the final wood trim for the floor boards are being installed.  The backsplash installation is complete and looks outstanding.  Floor has been grouted and just waiting a final cleaning and sealing which should take place by Thursday.

Also on Thursday, the new laundry appliance arrive so I am hoping that doing laundry will move back into the house by this weekend.  As far as decisions, the last major one is finding two “correct” hanging pendant lights.  The search so far has been futile.  The hardware for the drawers – the knobs and pulls – have been ordered and will arrive by Friday.

The end of phase 1 is near.  Phase 2 will be work on the  windows in the dinning room and living room.  Also needed will be repainting of those rooms and wood floor refinish which were not in the original budget but now deemed needed.  Phase 3 is the landscaping which most likely will not start until the beginning of next year.
