Star Trek Online officially closed its beta trail today at 6 pm PST. I got a couple of hours in this afternoon and saw part of the stress loading when they had Borgs and Klingons attacking everywhere. It was fun to take part.
For the most part, the game has wonderful graphics, easy to follow UI (User Interface) if you have done any MMOs, and some interesting story lines. I liked the strategy part of picking your NPC crew and the type of ship you will be. There are space battles and ground battles. You also can choose between being on Federation or Klingon side. My initial avatar is called BanaMay but once I get going, I will be creating Bananadoo. All in all a fun first few days in beta.
The plan is for the game to come on line officially next Tuesday but they are offering a head start date this Friday.
