25th Anniversary of Live Aid

Today, Tuesday, July 13 is the 25th anniversary of Live Aid.

While I was not “there” in London or Philadelphia for the shows, I was “there” via MTV and the magic of Players Pub and Pizza satellite.  Having worked the Friday night shift, I stayed up all night and watched with a few co-wokers until U2 played, then I went home for a two hour nap before starting the Saturday day shift.

Since we were a sports pub, I got in trouble for using the only TV at the time to show the show, that was until people started coming in and requesting it.  Then the owners were ok with my little stunt.
