I love Cheech and Chong. And now they are coming to Santa Cruz on November 5 at the Civic. Tickets are on sale now.
Man, oh man….
The first time I heard their comedy routine, I must have been around 6th grade. My family was over visiting a friend of my father’s family and the eldest son (most likely in 8th grade) played Cheech and Chong’s “Dave not here” and “Sister Mary Elephant.” Since I 
was going to St. Simon’s Catholic School (Los Altos), the Sister routine killed me.
And no, I did not confess to it.
Years later, when their “Up in Smoke” movie came out, I saw it at Moffet Drive In with a bunch of High School buddies. Lots of pot was smoked at that show. Woot!
